We all know that these days feeling away from home is not so easy, everything is so available! But there are still things which bring a smile to your face when you are reminded of home:
We have spent almost the entire Friday at the Museo Nacional de Antropologia, which has been a great experience.
The museum is really huge and incredibly well organized, featuring the history of Mexico in all the different regions and times. I’m really glad we’ve been there even if we’ve been walking over 20 Km in the day which wasn’t the best way to prepare to the visit of the Pyramids the day after.
As most people around here are very busy with the market during the day they understandably prefer to do construction work durning the night…in front of our windows of course! Ok not a great night, but a shower will bring me back to life…as I get ready for it I find out that there is no water available. Oh well, never mind!
We close the door to our room and discomfort behind our backs to catch the metro towards the bus terminal and a bus to Teotihuacan.
The local bus is suddenly stopped on the road: all the men OUT, women in. While Andreas is standing outside in line with all the real Mexicans with huge hats and fancy mustaches, the police is coming in to search the bus and control the women. All clear! And we reach back to Mexico City.
Love it!
:DDD
